Cleaner: The Original Story!!!!

You may be intrigued to learn that I am releasing a tidied up version of Cleaner: The Original Story as a novella.

This is available for pre-ordering NOW!

http://www.amazon.com/Cleaner-Original-Story-Tales-Transformation-ebook/dp/B0116KEOUY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1436343632&sr=8-2&keywords=cleaner+emma+finn

This is the novella that inspired the trilogy that I am currently working on and it struck me that it would be nice if it could find its own slot in the trail of releases. It is, after all, probably the story that I've had the most positive feedback about over the years.

The original story of Cleaner is a slightly different animal to the ongoing novels. It doesn't mess about, getting right into the thick of things, moving straight into exploring the humiliation and betrayal that this weight gain story is all about.

This version has been tidied up somewhat from it's original online release. If you can't wait to read the novels and want to get a glimpse of what could happen at the end then this is the place to go. The novels are developing differently from the original story though, so this isn't going to be exactly the same by any means, but it will give a hint of things to come.

What Does it Say on the Back of the Book?

“COMPELLING AND VERY EROTIC”

Seeing it’s first time in print, the original novella that inspired the on-going trilogy.

Dahlia Western is a woman with the world at her feet: a beautiful and wealthy model on the verge of a comeback. But Dahlia yearns for an escape from the boredom of her existence. She wants to live a normal life away from the money and the spotlight.

Melissa Chapman is her cleaner, as big a contrast to Dahlia as it is possible to get: obese and homely with thick glasses and a dowdy hairstyle. Melissa is bitter at her lowly position and secretly hates her employer.

But when Dahlia comes to Melissa with an odd request, the cleaner sees only an opportunity to turns things to her advantage. Dahlia suggests that she and Melissa swap places, altering their body shapes, memorising details of one another’s lives, and even having plastic surgery to affect a total swap. She spirits Melissa abroad and by the time they return, the women have swapped places. Now Melissa is beautiful and slim; Dahlia fat and dowdy.

The two women swap lives but soon Dahlia comes to realise that being normal isn’t as easy as she thought. Melissa begins to show her manipulative side, taking control of the situation and blocking any attempt Dahlia makes to get her life back and soon a battle of wills begins between them.

How can Dahlia return to her old self now that she has given all power away?

And is holding on to that power a little harder than even Melissa imagines…?

“REALLY PUSHES THE BUTTONS OF ANYONE WHO RESPONDS TO EROTIC HUMILIATION”

Where Can You Get It?

Currently the book is available only on Amazon for pre-order. It will appear on Smashwords in other electronic formats and on Amazon as a paperback when the actual release date comes: July 14th.

  1. Powerful story or crazy alternate version as might be written say by Mr Hyde. Great wonderful scenes of turnabout & the worm turning & pride going before the fall,. Highly reccomended.

    1. Nope. The action is the same but It's tidier, has been set in Nockton Vale and inconsistencies have been removed. And Topaz's name has been changed. It's basically a neater version of the original tale.

    2. Now I'm confused, is this a reworked version currently on Amazon?

    3. It's the original novella the current serialised trilogy of novels is based on. As such it's complete and already finished. The trilogy will continue to be produced here and eventually published on Amazon.

It's essentially a different shorter version of the story in the trilogy of novels.

  3. I fully support an author's right to publish anything they want. I want my favorite authors to be successful. But this goes too far. If you want to sell your draft versions, or already published text, do it. But I'm not buying, and I'm quitting this blog in protest.

    1. The draft version was published on a free site and was very short compared with this version. Having read both they both have their merits, the first has a quick ending, which I have to admit I really did like whilst the published version was always advertised as part one of a trilogy. I fail to see the problem, in the end as we cane either read the free version here or part with a few pounds, the buyer has the power. Personally if the "reworked" version is different then I'll certainly be reading it.

    3. Hmmm... A nice bit of controversy to start the day...

Thanks for the feedback guys. It's something to think about. My views in no particular order are as follows:

      1) Cleaner: The Original Story is very different from the Cleaner novels and I reckon it's still worth reading in its own right. If people want to. Or not if they don't.

      2) Although I posted it online for free 11 years ago the reaon I'm rereleasing it now is because it's been tidied up and set within the established Nockton Vale mythos. And I want all my books to be available in one place.

      3) Most transformation writers on Amazon release short stories of around 20 pages and charge the same amount or more than me. I always release novella or book length stuff because it's important to me that people get something substantial and as good as I can make it.

      4) I produce plenty of stuff for free here and on other sites.

      5) I write because I love doing it and because I love hearing what you guys think.

So thank you to everyone who keep coming back for more. You are one of the things that make my life worth living.

    5. It surely does. I must have written it when I was ten years old!

  4. Quite. No writer gives better value than you, Emma, and I mean both financially and artistically. You've published lots for free and I, for one, am happy to pay up the small amount you ask on either Amazon or, preferably, Smashwords for a finished book. I'm sure I'm not alone.

There're lots of Amazon publishers expecting their readers to pay for a few paragraphs of poorly written stuff. I think many of them spend more time on the cover than the writing.

    1. Hmmm... I wasn't planning to (apart from the cover).

Maybe I could add a couple.

    2. Okay. This is a good idea. I've actually gone and added all the illustrations I have for Cleaner (which set the scene and show the characters).

The whole book won't be illustrated but the first few chapters will be.

  9. It seems to me that leaving your blog in protest is like cutting off your nose to spite your face.As has been said your not having your arm twisted to buy your stories you buy them because you enjoy them and if people cannot accept that then it is their loss

    2. That was good, my only complaint, but only a minor one is that I missed the lead up to their trip to America to change places. I did have a rather nasty thought perhaps you should have had Melissa work for the new Melissa (Dahlia) as her cleaner, poetic justice lol

    3. Well hence the need for the trilogy.

As you can see by the expanded books, the lead up and time spent abroad is enough to fill two books if given the breathing room it needs.

  11. Very strong story indeed. I like it very much, with the exception of the final third.
Melissa´s downfall is not believable. I think that a woman like her, driven by ambition as she is, would have succeded in rising to and staying at the top.
I would have enjoyed it much more if the story had concentrated on the aspect of Dahlia´s kinky dreams becoming a neverending nightmare.
I also missed a chapter where Dahlia realized that she had it all in her former life and was only hunting illusions when dreaming of "the simple thing".
