Season 3 - Episode 24 - the final ever episode actually
In which Captain Kirk is forced to swap bodies with this woman:
This is pure gold in some ways if you haven't seen it - especially as it is happening to a character we know so well.
It isn't as fully satisfying as, say, Dating the Enemy, but is good in other ways, most notably in a lovely moment where the new Janice Lester looks with horror at herself in the mirror as another character points out that maybe she is mad - maybe she really is a delusional woman.

For my tastes I would have liked that explored a lot more but you can't have everything.
The plot of the episode itself is pretty good and is overall quite a nice bit of viewing.

And this just in! Here is a link to a page where a modern production company has remade the last scene. Interesting to watch for people who remember the original very well.
Incidentally, there are NUMEROUS Fictionmania stories inspired by this episode. I'll get round to recommending my favourite (Shifted and Shafted) sometime. There used to be a Yahoo Group all about Janice Lester as well. Don't know if it still exists...
