Recommended Viewing: The H.P. Lovecraft Collection, Vol. 5: Strange Aeons

Well for today's recommendation I am going to point you in the direction of three things.

1) HP Lovecraft is an awesome writer of esoteric horror stories, a great American writer whose stories are just incredibly good (though sometimes a little slow for modern readers). Well worth the read!

2) Lovecraft wrote a transgender body swap story that is subtle (compared to what you can find here or on Fictionmania) but is still excellent. It's called The Thing on the Doorstep. There are numerous collected works of HP Lovecraft available on Amazon that you can find with it in. Find it now!

3) The thing I'm actually here to recommend:

The H.P. Lovecraft Collection, Vol. 5: Strange Aeons

This is a DVD available on Amazon as I type this. It's a film version of HP Lovecraft's The Thing on the Doorstep. And it isn't too bad.

It's production values aren't quite as high as what you might normally see on TV or in the cinema but it's a good try. Some of the acting is a bit patchy but other characters are well done. Asenath, in particular is very well realised.

It doesn't tick quite as many boxes as Dating the Enemy which I recommended the other day, but it's well worth a look.

And it contains one of the most erotic moments I've ever seen in a film. If you like the same kinds of things that I do. And if you're reading stories on this site then you probably do.
